Cash Loan Company

Bayport Is A Different Type Of Cash Loan Company

Bayport Financial Services is not just any cash loan companyWe differ from the traditional banks in that we offer unsecured credit to “unbanked” people.  We also differ from the other type of cash loan company, the microfinance institution (MFI), in that we are fully self-sufficient.  Unlike MFIs, we go to the commercial market for funding and run our business in order to turn a profit, ensuring our long-term viability.  In addition, unlike most MFIs, we serve a large client base.

Bayport has partnerships with local stakeholders, industry, employers, government and trade unions in all the countries where we operate.  These partnerships have enable us to obtain an intimate understanding of the local people’s customs and attitudes towards credit, enabling us to design financial services products that suit their specific needs in their specific markets.  We are active in South Africa, Uganda, Zambia, Tanzania and Ghana.

The local employers also act as our collection arm, deducting monies owed to Bayport from employees’ wages and paying the consolidated debts to us.  This very efficient way of collecting payments has enabled us to mitigate most of the risks associated with lending in Africa and has contributed to our extremely low levels of unrecoverable debts.  It is also the reason why we are able to offer our loans to unbanked employees while ourselves remaining viable over the long term.

From the above, it is clear that Bayport Financial Services is a class apart from the traditional cash loan companyOur unique approach has ensured our sustainability and encouraging success in the African market.  For more information, contact us.
