Community Projects

Bayport Financial Services’ commitment to the districts in which we operate is very diverse; ranging from providing relief food to flood and landslide victims in eastern Uganda to funding the completion of a district’s finance offices. Our Corporate Social Responsibility programme covers areas such as health, education, agriculture, business, youth and sports.

November 2007 >>

Uganda Prisons were in need of tracksuits for their Maroons football club; We provided 30 tracksuit sets in time for the Superleague match against BoroBoro;in which the Maroons won 2-0.

In the same month we donated Ushs 1,000,000 to Mukono Multipurpose Youth Organisation (MUMYO) an NGO aimed at promoting the rights and wellbeing of the youth and alleviation of poverty in rural areas. Our contribution was used for orphan school fees support, start income generating projects for AIDS support groups and the construction of MUMYO's future orphan education center.

We received news of Ms. Florence Akello who had given birth to triplets in Angal Hospital in Nebbi district. The babies weighed about 1.5kgs each, unfortunately one baby passed away. Bayport made provisions of funds to the mother to assist her with her babies .

On 16th October 2007, a story was featured in New Vision about kids who had been abandoned at the Central Police Station, police appealed to the public to provide assistance in their upkeep. Bayport donated food items to feed the children.

On August 22 2007, a story featured in the New Vision about the 10 year old bread winner, called Edwin Lubega. He was supporting his mother and siblings, He also happened to be recovering from cancer. We visited the family in Kasenyi, Entebbe and donated funds for Edwin's follow up visits at the Cancer Institute in Mulago, provided school fees and school supplies for Edwin and his sister Vivian Nansamba, and gave his mother start-up capital for her fish selling business to help sustain her family.
