Bayport Financial Services is a financial services company that is active in South Africa, Ghana, Tanzania, Uganda and Zambia.  We were the first financial services company that has established a successful, sustainable business model for providing unsecured credit in Africa.  The African market has traditionally deterred most players in the unsecured credit market, because of its relative immaturity.  Bayport had considered this a challenge and has left no stone unturned to bring a successful, sustainable business to Africa.

Bayport has 235 branches spread over the five abovementioned countries, as well as many mobile units in an effort to get close to our clients, wherever they are.  This is especially important in Africa, where many people live far into the countryside.  We have purpose-designed financial products that are optimised for the countries in which they are available.  Legislation, perceptions and traditions vary from country to country and Bayport is sensitive to provide products that address the specific needs of the people they serve.
